Comprehensive Lighting Design Documentation: GWA prepares documentation as required by the individual project. This includes plans, elevations and details as needed to fully communicate the design concept. Drawings are supported with full equipment specifications, fixture and control schedules, fixture cuts and details needed for bidding and installation. Additional documentation includes light level calculation reports, owning and operating reports, comparative cost analysis and energy code compliance reports.

Programming: GWA assists in the development of project scope, budget and schedule as it relates to lighting. We are experienced team players, who work with the client or team to establish overall project objectives as well as the specific lighting requirements for the end user.

Site Visits and Lighting Analysis: Prior to design work, GWA visits the site to survey and document existing conditions and identifies lighting opportunities. During construction, GWA monitors installation, coordinate fixture locations, assist contractors with equipment installation procedures and produces written punch list reports.

Aiming and Focusing: GWA will perform and/or assist in final aiming and adjustment of lighting equipment.

Lighting Mockups: GWA produces mock up documentation, assists with equipment and labor coordination, assembles, presents and disassembles mock up equipment.

Lighting Visualization Graphics: GWA uses current design technologies including rendering, presentation and drawing software.

Project Budgeting: GWA assists in establishing realistic budgets for a project and works to design within that budget. During construction, GWA will review bids and equipment cost to assure that they align with the project budget.

Master Planning: GWA works with clients to develop coherent lighting master plans for their exterior environments, including urban, campus and resort projects. Lighting master plans incorporate quality lighting design that creates safe, secure and comfortable places while reducing energy and maintenance costs.

Lighting Knowledge: GWA uses the knowledge gained from the collective experience of our staff, our clients and our colleagues to address specific lighting needs through quality lighting solutions in order to offer the best possible service to our clients.

Energy Evaluation: GWA is committed to the appropriate reduction of energy cost and usage. We are experienced in evaluating energy use and creating comparative lighting system report to describe potential reduction and savings.

Custom Design: GWA designs and documents custom or modified lighting equipment. We assist the client in determining an appropriate style and work with manufacturers to establish fixture design criteria and a suitable manufacturing process.

Daylighting: GWA is experienced in evaluating daylighting potential for existing and new project sites. Using calculation software, GWA determines the contribution of daylighting and incorporates that contribution into the overall lighting and control design.
